Oreo Truffles **YUM**

Y'ALL... this is one of the best recipes EVER!  If you like chocolate, you will LOVE these truffles!  I had my first one a year or so ago and well, I can't get enough!  They're delicious AND a great idea for a teacher gift, or neighbor gift, or just for yourself.

Thanks to HH reader Suzanne for sharing her recipe and pictures with us!!

YUMMY, right??  Well, here's what you need...
Pack of Oreos
8oz cream cheese
Chocolate for melting/dipping

Take one pack of Oreos....

crush them in a food processor.

Get one 8oz block of softened cream cheese....

mix it in with the Oreos.

Roll them into balls and put them on a cookie sheet cover in waxed paper and place them in the freezer to harden.

Get out the chocolate (Suzanne used white chocolate for some and dark chocolate for the rest... but, the possibilities are endless here).

Take the balls out of the freezer and dip them into melted chocolate (for decoration, Suzanne sprinkled more crushed Oreo on top... SO PRETTY).

Here's the dark chocolate ones...

To make these pretty too, she took white melt aways...

and drizzled them on top...

ENJOY!

Thanks SO MUCH SUZANNE!

Here's the recipe at a glance:

Crush a package of Oreos in a food processor until they're really fine (You can reserve some of the crumbs to use to decorate later, if you'd like.).  Mix the crushed Oreos with 8oz of softened cream cheese.  Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls and place them on wax paper and in the fridge or freezer so they'll stay together.  Melt some of your favorite kind of chocolate and dip the chilled truffles in to coat.  Decorate with sprinkles, more Oreos, more chocolate, whatever!
