These are just precious!! I've seen them on a NUMBER of pages... but this recipe was super descriptive, so I thought that I would share it with all of you!! If your kids are old enough to understand this concept, I would STRONGLY recommend this 'fun with kids' activity. I know that I will DEFINITELY do this with my kiddos when they're old enough!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Ok, so I'm NOT a mushy gushy Valentine's Day type of person. BUT, the idea of making Valentine's Day things, well now, THAT is fun!
We started the day off with a YUMMY Pinterest inspired breakfast. Click here to check it out. I for SURE used canned cinnamon rolls. I unrolled them half way and the curled the other side back to make a heart shape.

Egg Brunch Casserole CROCKPOT
So here's another AWESOME pin that I found a while ago. I am a member of the MOPs group at my church and on this specific Tuesday, my table was responsible for bringing food. So, I totally took advantage of this recipe. Set it and forget it, right?! SO EASY and super yummy!
Here's what you need...
6-8 strips of bacon
1 onion
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1 red or green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 (2lb) bag of frozen hash browns
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
12 eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Here's what you do...
Spray Crock Pot with non-stick cooking spray.
Cook bacon til crisp. Let it cool, then chop it into 1/2 inch pieces and set it aside.
Saute onion, garlic, and bell pepper for 5 mins.
Layer 1/3 of the frozen hash browns in the bottom of the Crock Pot with 1/3 bacon, 1/3 onion/garlic/pepper mixture and 1/3 cheese.
Repeat layers ending with cheese (I LOVE cheese, so I added extra).
In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, dill, salt & pepper.
Pour over ingredients in the Crock Pot.
Cover and turn on low. Cook for 8-10 hours.
When it's done, a thermometer in the center should read 160 degrees F.
I mean, how EASY is that?? Made for a REALLY easy morning. I just had to load it in the car. And... as always, it smelled... DELICIOUS!

Opposite Party
Ok... so this recipe is so cute! And honestly, it doesn't require much explanation. I think that the pictures will pretty much explain everything for you! My little brother (almost 17, not so little anymore... we'll call him 'younger') has a Fall Festival party every year. My mom goes all out and plans a cute theme and the kids LOVE IT! It's a GREAT alternative to OTHER mischief that kids can get into on Halloween night.
Last year she did a SUPER fun murder mystery (she ordered a kit on line... GREAT IDEA). The kids had to dress like the character that they were sent in the mail and play that part the whole night. Like I said, it was lots of fun and the kids REALLY enjoyed it!
Well, this year they had an 'Opposite Party'... EVERYTHING was supposed to be opposite. Kids were encouraged to dress opposite of how they normally dress (they could interpret that however they wanted to). I had an idea to send Thank You cards with all of the info as the invite... but mom was worried the kids would be confused. ;-) She DID prepare the food to look opposite of what they really are.

Squash Soup
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
I don't know what the weather is like where you live... but if I've said it once, I've said it a million times... I LOVE FALL! The weather gets cooler (not too cold) and the humidity is under control. I live in coastal Georgia and let me tell you, humidity is NO JOKE! Anyhow, cooler weather means, warmer foods... YUM!!!
I had NEVER had squash soup before. Then, one afternoon, I decided to give it a taste test at lunch... I... FELL... IN... LOVE!!! I immediately started googling and was NOT getting very far. There are a TON of recipes out there. So, I went back to the lady that had made the soup and asked her. Here's the 'recipe' she gave me. The only thing is, there won't be any measurements because everything is about eyeballing and tasting things.
Butternut Squash (I'd say at least 2lbs worth)
Salt
Pepper
Thyme (NOT GROUND, dried- leafy looking)
Spray butter (or olive oil)
Garlic
Onion
Heavy cream
Chicken Stock
*Sour Cream (to garnish on top, optional)

Oreo Truffles **YUM**
Y'ALL... this is one of the best recipes EVER! If you like chocolate, you will LOVE these truffles! I had my first one a year or so ago and well, I can't get enough! They're delicious AND a great idea for a teacher gift, or neighbor gift, or just for yourself.
Thanks to HH reader Suzanne for sharing her recipe and pictures with us!!

No Bake Cookies
I'm sure that PLENTY of you have had these delicious cookies. BUT, just in case you haven't I thought I would post the recipe.
These cookies are a staple in our family. When my husband is deployed, these are one of his FAVORITE snacks to get. They travel well, and because they're just 'plopped' on the wax paper, it doesn't matter if they change their shape at all.
And just like their name implies, there is NO BAKING involved. Seriously, the kind of cookie that you can have on the cooling rack in 15 mins or so (the entire batch cooling... not just one cookie sheet full). I often just whip them up if I need to bring a sweet treat or snack somewhere. Most of the ingredients are things that you have just lying around.
I made them on Sunday night for my small group and they LOVED them, decided that I should share this yumminess with my Handy Housemom friends :-)

Dump Cake
I'm sure that you've had this before and possibly made it... but I still thought I'd share. Had to make a dessert on the fly, and decided to go with a simple college favorite. My roommate could seriously make my day when I came home and smelled a yumm-o dump cake fresh out of the oven :-) (love ya Priss)!
Anyhow, it is SIMPLE... EASY... and inexpensive (especially if you're a coupon user that stocks up on stuff :-)... you could just have to buy the fruit (unless you stockpile them too...)
Here ya go... You'll need...

EASY Yogurt Pops
Thanks to reader Amy for sharing this great EASY summer time snack idea with us!
"My kids absolutely LOVE these and it is a great summer treat! I just buy the pack of Trix yogurt (I've tried other kinds but Trix works the best) and a pack of plastic spoons (I've also tried popsicle sticks but for some reason they like the spoons better and they are a little easier). I let them pick which ones they want out of the pack and they stick the spoon in through the aluminum top (with spoon end sticking out). Put them in the freezer overnight and when they are ready for them, just squeeze the cup a little, remove the aluminum top and pull them out."

Paula Deen's Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies
THANKS to reader Cynthia for sharing this YUMMY recipe with us. It looks like her girls REALLY enjoyed making the cookies!!
Paula Deen's Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) brick cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 stick butter, at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (18-ounce) box moist chocolate cake mix
- Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in the egg. Then beat in the vanilla extract. Beat in the cake mix. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to firm up so that you can roll the batter into balls. Roll the chilled batter into tablespoon sized balls and then roll them in confectioner's sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake 12 minutes. The cookies will remain soft and "gooey." Cool completely and sprinkle with more confectioners' sugar, if desired.
