One HECK of a year!!

Well good Friday morning HH readers!  Today's post is going to be a little different.  Maybe even a little strange to some of you...

I just wanted to take a quick minute and remind each and every one of you just how important YOUR life is.... and how important YOU are.  Don't get me wrong... there are definitely days that seem SO routine that we really just don't feel important.  YOU ARE... I AM... WE ARE!

This past year has been an EXTREME roller coaster in my life.  One year ago today, I learned that my husband had been shot overseas.  He was shot in his arm shattering his elbow... "crushed corn flakes" is how the doctor described it.  Things seemed so challenging in the time that followed.

After months an months of rehab, multiple surgeries, 3 plates and 30 some screws, things have come SO FAR for him.  He is heading back to work in the next couple of months and anxiously awaiting his chance to deploy again soon.  I couldn't be more proud of him.

Yeah so... when you're having a blah day... or things don't seem too important just take time to remember that there is a big picture and a plan made especially for YOUR life!  In the Bible it says, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future' (Jer 29:11)"  I know that we don't ALWAYS see or understand what that 'plan' is... but He promises that his plans are not to harm us.  I find comfort in that daily.

**On that same night last year, 2 of my husbands buddies paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.  Take a moment today (and everyday) and remember ALL of those that have given EVERYTHING so that we can live the way we do here... Freedom ISN'T free!!

You will NEVER be forgotten!  Thank you and your family for everything that you have given for my freedom!
