Finger Foods... Let's Chat...

So... I asked my husband for an idea for a 'chat' on the blog today... and his idea... THE NFL DRAFT... SERIOUSLY?!  I mean, I am SURE that I have some readers that actually have some input in that discussion.  However, I do not :-(
So... in his honor (just to humor him), let's chat about sports events.  What's YOUR team (whichever sport... not JUST NFL)?  Our house has SEVERAL teams but for this convo... we'll focus on the GEORGIA BULLDOGS (that's just for you all of my UF relatives and friends ;-)).

When it's football season, we LOVE watching games whether we're AT the stadium, a friend's house, or in our living room silently cheering (because the kids are asleep).  We usually have a snack of some sort (I mean, isn't snacking what sports are really all about ;-)).

One of my faves is Buffalo Chicken Dip (got it from the Frank's Hot Sauce website):

Slow Cooker Method: Combine ingredients as directed above. Place mixture into small slow cooker. Cover pot. Heat on HIGH setting for 1 1/2 hours until hot and bubbly or on LOW setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Stir.

Tailgating Tip: Prepare dip ahead and place in heavy disposable foil pan. Place pan on grill and heat dip until hot and bubbly.

  4. I think AJ Green has a great chance of going in the top 5. Good luck to the players I met down at Athlete's Performance.

  5. I love sausage dip! It is so easy and so yum! Can be served hot or cold.

    2 packs of cream cheese
    1 can of ro*tell tomatoes
1 package of sausage (any type you like)

Let cream cheese soften for about an hour. Cook (brown) sausuage, drain it and then mix in can of ro*tell tomatoes (drained). Let sit for a minute and go to your cream cheese, start to stir it and then mix in sausuage and tomatoes. It is yummy! Put in fridge once you are done dipping.

I use tortilla chips to dip. Enjoy!

And... GO VIRGINIA TECH HOKIES!! :)
